Middle School Bible
Middle School -
The middle school Bible classes at Fox Valley Christian Academy are all about getting to know Jesus Christ and allowing His Word and His teachings to be a part of the student¹s every day life. As students transition from a family based faith to a personal faith in Christ Jesus, they must understand and have the tools to develop an intimate relationship with God that goes beyond simply accepting Jesus as Savior. It is also very important for students to be able to defend their faith in the world that we live in. The unit on “Apologetics” in our 7th grade Bible course teaches students how to defend their Christian doctrines in a world that will put their faith to the test.
6th grade Bible focuses on the life of Jesus Christ and getting to know Him more. Students also learn about brotherly love and how they can encourage their brothers and sisters in Christ as we are all a part of one body, the body of Christ. We also have units on spiritual gifts, the armor of God, and sharing our faith.
Our 7th graders study the heroes of the faith and learn how they not only survived, but also thrived through the trials of life. Our unit on Apologetics teaches students how to defend their Christian doctrines in a world that will put their faith to the test. Our 7th graders also study the four-hundred-year “period of the judges” by examining the book of Judges of the Old Testament.
8th grade Bible students focus on the development of personal and small group study habits that they can take with them through the rest of their lives. Students conduct small group studies using Max Lucado’s It’s Not About Me, John MacAurthur’s Romans, and James. Students are also challenged to take part in the Read-Through-The-Bible-In-A-Year-Challenge using the chronological Bible.
