Student Life: Speech Meet

During the months of December and January, students in grades 3-5 prepare a selection in one of the following categories: poetry, fables, Bible memorization, dramatic Bible prose, or patriotic oration. Classroom meets are conducted in January and February. Winners of the classroom meets advance to the ACSI Regional Speech Meet. Participation in this program helps students to develop poise and confident speech in audience situations; encourages students to speak audibly, articulately and expressively; and develops effective communication that contributes to capable leadership.
