The Math Olympics
offers students in grades 3-8 who excel in mathematics an opportunity to
compete in computation or reasoning. Students take a series of timed tests
to vie for placement in the two categories at each grade level among the ACSI schools in our
region of Wisconsin. Thirty-six FVCA students participated in the most recent academic year
regional competition where they received 40% of the top-five placements in computation and
over 50% of the top-five placements in reasoning. Twenty-nine of the 36 FVCA students
competing placed in the
top five in their category and grade level.
